The instrumentation and technical gases commission coordinates the supply of compressed and liquefied technical gases and negotiates with suppliers the best economic conditions, considering the teaching and research needs of the Department. The commission also manages the gas distribution service, coordinating the work of the technical staff responsible for managing the cylinders. The commission expresses non-binding opinions on the acquisition, disposal and management of large equipment of departmental interest, including economic aspects such as maintenance costs and tariffs.
